how is this calculated?
ReplyDeleteTop climber for each team in each category scores points for the team. 100 points for first, 90 points for 2nd, 80 points for 3rd, 70 points for 4th, 65 points for 5th, 60 points for 6th etc.
ReplyDeleteIt's the system that USA Climbing uses for calculation for National Team Champions (Team Texas usually wins).
As I watch the California Cup rankings - it rewards event participation, participation in every category and finally performance.
In fact, a carefully constructed team of 10 climbers could climb in every event, never score higher than 5th place and be in first place right now!
