The final local comp in the 2014 SCS season took place on Saturday, April 26th at Rocknasium in Davis, CA. Thanks to the staff of Rocknasium for putting on a great comp to close out the 2014 SCS local comp season.

April 19 SCS Comp at Rocksport Reno

The next local comp in the 2014 SCS season will take place on Saturday, April 19 at Rocksport Reno, 1901 Silverado Blvd., Reno, NV.
Registration starts at 9:00 a.m.;  Rules meeting at 9:45; Climbing from 10:00 - 2:00 p.m. Registration fee is $30 for USA Climbing members; $35 for non-members.
Competitors will receive a meal ticket for lunch. Meal ticket purchase will be available for non-competitors.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase and there will be baked goods and other items for purchase. All proceeds benefit Sierra Climbing Team.

Regionals Registration Now Live

Registration for SCS Regionals is now live. Northern California Regionals will take place Saturday, May 10 at Ironworks in Berkeley. Click here to go to the regional registration page. The registration fee is $97.50.
To participate in Regionals, climbers must have participated in at least two local competitions.
Participants can register for Sport, Speed, or both Sport and Speed. Registration will close on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11:59pm. Early registration is strongly encouraged.
USA Climbing Coaches Requirement
Parents, make sure your team's coaches are certified! Only certified coaches will be allowed into iso at regionals, divisionals and nationals.
USA Climbing is currently accepting coaching documentation for the 2013-2014 season. 
In order to be recognized as a certified coach and, as such, eligible to enter ISO during the SCS 2014 Championship series, you must be a registered coach with CPR and First Aid documents good through 7/11/2014. All materials (CPR, First Aid, background check authorization) must be submitted and you must have purchased your Coaches Membership by May 1, 2014 (5/1/2014). 
In order to be recognized as a certified coach and, as such, eligible to act as a coach during the CCS National Championships, you must be a registered coach with CPR and First Aid doucments valid through 4/20/2014. All materials (CPR, FA, Background check authorization) must be submitted and you must have purchased your Coaches Membership by April 14, 2014 (4/14/2014).
If any of these documents are missing or have expired, you will NOT be eligible to enter isolation at Regional's, Divisional's and/or National's- NO EXCEPTIONS.

Officially, USA Team Rankings are only calculated for Regionals.  As NorCal, however, we have decided to publish the rankings for each competition as well as track the cumulative results of the 6 competitions this season.Think of this as the Northern California Regional Cup Series.  Bragging rights for the winner.

April 5 Comp at Granite Arch

The next local comp in the 2014 SCS season will take place on Saturday, April 5 at Granite Arch Climbing Gym in Rancho Cordova, CA. Registration starts at 10 a.m. The comp starts at 11 a.m. There will be a brief meeting to go over rules before the comp starts. The registration fee is $30 for USA Climbing members and $35 for non-members. There will be baked goods and other food items available for purchase at the gym as well as a raffle with all proceeds benefiting Team Granite Arch.
